I decided whilst reading over the plans (for about the 5th time) that some areas of my build are going to need beefing up.
First modification that i've considered is making the rear dropouts out of 2" Angle.
Second modification will be some bracing between the seat/backrest post and the rear forks. this will be completed once I have a rolling chassis so I can start looking at the chain line. Don't want to interfere with that!
I've trimmed some 2" angle on one side so it looks half decent and i'm confident that the extra web of material once welded onto the fork leg will stiffen this area up considerably.
Only had about 30 minutes on my dinner break to complete my little foreigner, but i've got the holes drilled on one of the pillar drills in the tool room ready for me to cut out into the slots. Didn't get any pics today, but will do tomorrow once we are complete.
Not sure whether to concentrate on continuing building the frame this coming weekend, or make a start of the build of 3 wheels...
Anyway, had a bostin' commute today on the Cube Hyde. Sun was in my eyes on the way to work at 0515hrs, and the wind was behind me on the way home. Super.
